Voligel 1% Gel  contains Diclofenac Sodium. Painx topical Cream (applied to the skin) is used to relieve pain associated with recent muscle or joint injuries such as sprains, strains, or sports injuries. It also relieves pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc.
Diclofenac is used to treat acute muscular pain. Diclofenac belongs to the class of medications known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins.
- Voligel 1% Gel is a medication that contains Diclofenac, which is classified as a Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID). It is prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation resulting from muscle and joint injuries (such as sprains, strains, and bruises), tendonitis (such as tennis elbow), and osteoarthritis (a degenerative joint disease). Voligel 1% Gel may also be used to reduce swelling around the knee or elbow or after an injury.
- Patients using Voligel 1% Gel for arthritis should have their treatment reviewed by a doctor regularly. If the pain and swelling do not improve within 7 days or worsen, patients should inform their doctor. Smoking and exposure to open flames should be avoided because they may increase the risk of severe burns.
- Voligel 1% Gel should not be used by patients with kidney failure, recent onset severe joint pain (unrelated to an injury or period of overuse), illness, fever, or other symptoms that accompany the pain. Patients with a history of stomach or bowel ulcers, asthma, liver, kidney, or bleeding problems should inform their doctor before using Voligel 1% Gel.
- Pregnant women, especially during the last three months of pregnancy, should not use Voligel 1% Gel. Breastfeeding women should use it only under medical supervision. Voligel 1% Gel L is not recommended for children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
- Patients should be careful when sunbathing or using sun lamps because their skin may be more sensitive to sunlight while using Voligel 1% Gel. The most common side effects of Voligel 1% Gel are skin rash, itching, and redness. If any of these symptoms worsen, patients should consult their doctor.
