Sixtin 5mg Tablet contains Saxagliptin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetic drugs. It is used in adults (18 years and older) to treat type 2 diabetes that cannot be adequately controlled with one oral anti-diabetic medicine, diet, and exercise. It is used alone or together with insulin or other anti-diabetic medicines (Ex. metformin, sulfonylureas).
Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which your body does not make enough insulin (a hormone that helps control your blood sugar levels) or the insulin that is produced does not work to control glucose levels. It can show symptoms like increased thirst, urination, hunger, blurry vision, numbness in the hands or feet, or tiredness.

Before taking Sixtin 5mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any serious kidney, liver, or heart problems, reduced immunity, type-1 diabetes, or pancreatic problems.
Sixtin 5mg Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. Sixtin 5mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
