Amarin 45.5mg/2ml Injection is a competitive H1 histamine receptor antagonist. Like other alkylamine antihistamines, it also antagonizes muscarinic cholinergic receptors and has local anesthetic properties, although these effects are not achieved at therapeutic doses.
Pheniramine is used for treating allergic conditions like urticaria or hay fever. It is also used as an over-the-counter sleeping pill similar to other sedating antihistamines. The active constituent of this medication is an alkylamine derivative, a histamine H1-receptor antagonist with anticholinergic and moderate sedative effects. Besides all of its uses, it is also found in eyedrops used to treat allergic conjunctivitis.
