Iprasol inhalation aerosol is indicated for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) who are already using a regular aerosol bronchodilator but still experience bronchospasm and require an additional bronchodilator for better symptom control.
Adults (including elderly):
Typically, 2 puffs are taken four times daily. Additional puffs may be used if needed, but the total dose should not exceed 12 puffs within 24 hours, or as directed by a physician.
Salbutamol (Inhaler) 100mcg+ Ipratropium Bromide (Inhaler) 20mcg contains a combination of salbutamol (as sulphate) and ipratropium bromide in an HFA-based, environmentally friendly formulation that does not use CFC propellants.
Salbutamol is a short-acting β2-agonist that relaxes airway smooth muscles, while ipratropium bromide is an anticholinergic agent that blocks muscarinic receptors, preventing bronchoconstriction. Together, they act through different mechanisms to enhance bronchodilation, resulting in improved airflow and symptom relief compared to either drug used alone.
