Montex 10 is a prescription medication used to prevent asthma and to manage allergic symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose. It works by reducing inflammation in the airways, helping to make breathing easier.
- Can be taken with or without food
- Preferably take it at the same time each day for optimal effect
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
Adult Dose
- Asthma & allergic rhinitis: 10 mg once daily (evening)
- Exercise-induced asthma: 10 mg at least 2 hours before exercise (do not repeat within 24 hours)
Pediatric Dose
- 12–24 months: 4 mg once daily (granules)
- 2–6 years: 4 mg once daily
- 6–15 years: 5 mg once daily
- ≥15 years: 10 mg once daily
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.
