Class: Selective Leukotriene Receptor Antagonist
Montelukast specifically blocks CysLT1 receptors, preventing the action of leukotrienes (LTC4, LTD4, LTE4).
This inhibition reduces airway edema, smooth muscle contraction, and inflammatory cell activation.

Asthma
