Enclot 650 is an anti-fibrinolytic agent. It works by blocking the breakdown of blood clots. Specifically, it inhibits the binding of plasminogen and plasmin to fibrin, thus stabilizing blood clots and helping to reduce or prevent excessive bleeding. If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with the next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose.
- Use cautiously in patients with mild to moderate renal dysfunction, irregular menstrual cycles, or a history of blood clots.
- Avoid rapid IV injection (>1 mL/min) to prevent low blood pressure.
- Monitor liver function and perform eye exams during prolonged therapy.
- Discontinue if color vision changes are detected.
- Use cautiously during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
