Description

Calcium Carbonate [Eggshell source] + Vitamin D3 is used to manage:

  • low levels of calcium in the blood (mainly occurs during pregnancy and the lactation period)
  • osteoporosis (brittle bones)
  • osteomalacia (softening of bones)
  • rickets (abnormal calcification, softening, and distortion of the bones, typically resulting in bowlegs)
  • hypoparathyroidism
  • malnutrition due to poor nutritional intake

Calcium deficiency commonly occurs due to inadequate dietary intake and is frequently seen during pregnancy and lactation. Ovoshel D Tablet is also indicated for the management of:

  1. Osteoporosis (weak, brittle bones)
  2. Osteomalacia (softening of bones)
  3. Rickets (defective bone mineralization leading to bone deformities)
  4. Hypoparathyroidism (reduced secretion of parathyroid hormone)

Ovoshel D contains Calcium carbonate and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which belong to the therapeutic classes of calcium supplements and vitamin D derivatives, respectively. It is primarily used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency, a condition characterized by low calcium levels in the blood.
