Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan + Levomenthol is used as an antitussive for the relief of persistent, dry, and irritating cough, and helps promote restful sleep.
Each 5 ml syrup contains:
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride BP – 14 mg
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide BP – 6.5 mg
- Levomenthol BP – 2 mg
- Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide: A non-opioid antitussive that acts on the cough center in the medulla oblongata, increasing the cough threshold.
- Levomenthol: Has mild local anesthetic and decongestant effects.
- Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride: Possesses antitussive, antihistaminic, and anticholinergic properties.
