Bispep Oral Suspension is indicated for relief from:
- Upset stomach
- Indigestion
- Heartburn
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Antacid Action: Bismuth Subsalicylate coats ulcer surfaces, protecting them from acid and pepsin. It stimulates the secretion of mucus and bicarbonate, and reacts with hydrochloric acid (HCl) to produce bismuth oxychloride and salicylic acid, thus reducing stomach acidity.
- Anti-Diarrheal Action: Bispep Oral Suspension encourages the absorption of water and electrolytes across the intestinal wall. It also binds to toxins produced by E. coli and disrupts H. pylori cells, preventing their adhesion to the intestinal wall.
- Anti-Inflammatory Action: Once hydrolyzed to salicylic acid, Bispep Oral Suspension inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, which reduces inflammation and coats irritated tissue, helping to prevent fluid expulsion
