Topirva 25mg Tablet contains Topiramate, an anticonvulsant. It is used to manage seizure disorders in adults and children (over 6 years) as monotherapy and in children over 2 years as adjunctive therapy. It also treats migraine headaches.
- Topiramate stabilizes nerve activity by increasing GABA activity (an inhibitory neurotransmitter) and reducing glutamate activity (an excitatory neurotransmitter), thus preventing seizures and migraines.
- Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, metabolic acidosis, glaucoma, growth issues, or if you’re on a ketogenic diet. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor.
