Zeptol CR 200 tablet is used for the treatment of certain types of epileptic fits known as generalized tonic-clonic and partial seizures.
ZEPTOL CR 200MG TABLET contains Carbamazepine, an anticonvulsant medication used to treat epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and symptoms of bipolar disorder. It works by reducing abnormal nerve cell activity in the brain to control seizures, blocking pain signals to alleviate trigeminal neuralgia, and stabilizing mood by affecting certain brain regions involved in mood changes.
Before taking ZEPTOL CR 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor about any liver or kidney diseases. It is not recommended for patients with porphyria, heart problems, or bone marrow issues. Avoid consuming alcohol or grapefruit juice while on this medication as it may lead to unwanted side effects.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use ZEPTOL CR 200MG TABLET only if necessary and under the physician’s guidance. It is not recommended for children under 5 years of age.
Common side effects of ZEPTOL CR 200MG TABLET include nausea, vomiting, increased bleeding tendency, headache, weight gain, dizziness, and blurred vision. If any of these side effects worsen, consult your doctor. Additionally, inform your doctor immediately if you experience excessively depressed mood or thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
