Dermasim VT 500 Tablet is used for the treatment of a Vaginal Infection called vaginal candidiasis (vaginal thrush) in women.
Dermasim VT 500 Tablet contains Clotrimazole, an antifungal medication that helps in treating candidal vaginitis by targeting the yeast causing the infection.
- This condition can cause itching in the vagina and surrounding areas, abnormally smelly discharge, pain during intercourse, and painful urination.
- Pregnant women, women using contraceptives, women with weakened immune systems, those recently treated with antibiotics, and diabetic women are at higher risk of developing candidal vaginitis.
- While using Dermasim VT 500 Tablet, avoid using tampons, intravaginal douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products. Sexual intercourse should also be avoided during the treatment period.
- Dermasim VT 500 Tablet should not be used in patients with certain conditions, such as irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding, ulcers, blisters, or sores in the vagina, lower stomach pain, fever, shivering, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or during a menstrual period.
- The tablet should be used with caution in patients who have had recurrent fungal infections or have a history of sexually transmitted diseases or sexual contact with individuals having sexually transmitted diseases.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Dermasim VT 500 Tablet with caution and consult their doctor before use.
- The tablet is not recommended for use in children under the age of 16 and should be used with caution in elderly patients over the age of 60.
