Sucrasol 200 ml is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal ulcers and related conditions, including:
- Peptic ulcer
- Intestinal ulcer
- Chronic gastritis
- Gastrointestinal bleeding caused by stress ulceration
It helps protect the ulcer surface and promotes faster healing.
Maintain at least a 2-hour gap between Sucrasol and other oral medications.
Sucrasol contains Sucralfate, which forms a protective coating over ulcers and damaged areas of the gastrointestinal lining. This coating acts as a physical barrier against stomach acid, pepsin, and bile salts, allowing the ulcer to heal naturally while reducing further irritation.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
