Dexlansoprazole belongs to a group of antiulcer medicines or proton pump inhibitors. Dexlan 30mg Capsule is used to treat heartburn caused by erosive esophagitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Dexlan 30mg Capsule is an acid-reducing medication used to treat acid-related stomach and intestinal conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and excessive acid production. It also prevents stomach ulcers and acidity caused by prolonged painkiller use. Belonging to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), it should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning, with the dosage depending on the underlying condition and response.
Continue taking the medicine as prescribed even if symptoms improve quickly. Enhance treatment efficacy by eating smaller, frequent meals and avoiding caffeinated, spicy, and fatty foods. Common side effects include mild nausea, vomiting, flatulence, and diarrhea. Long-term use may increase the risk of side effects, such as bone fractures, especially with higher doses. Discuss preventive measures for bone loss (osteoporosis) with your doctor, like calcium and vitamin D supplements.
Prior to usage, inform your doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking HIV medications, have a history of allergic reactions to similar medicines, or suffer from bone loss (osteoporosis). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Dexlan 30mg Capsules.
