Esomeprazole is used to treat:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Stomach ulcers and intestinal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection and NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs)
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Esoral Mups 20mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole, a Proton pump inhibitor used to treat GERD, heartburn, stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria or NSAIDs, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome in adults and adolescents above 12 years of age. It helps by reducing stomach acid to relieve symptoms and promote healing.

However, Esoral Mups 20mg Tablet is not recommended for patients with severe kidney and liver failure. Pregnant women should take it only if necessary and after consulting their doctor. Breastfeeding women should avoid it. Children and adolescents below 12 years should also avoid this medication.

Common side effects of Esoral Mups 20mg Tablet include headache, diarrhea, stomach pain, constipation, flatulence, nausea, and vomiting. If any of these symptoms worsen over time, contact your physician for guidance.
