Gavisol Kids is used for the symptomatic relief of indigestion, upset stomach, and dyspepsia associated with excess stomach acid. It helps relieve discomfort caused by gastric acid and bile reflux into the esophagus. It is also indicated for conditions such as:
- Gastric reflux
- Reflux esophagitis
- Heartburn
- Hiatus hernia
- Flatulence associated with gastric reflux
- Heartburn during pregnancy
- Regurgitation
- Epigastric and retrosternal discomfort related to acid reflux
Gavisol Kids acts through a physical mechanism rather than systemic absorption. After ingestion, it reacts quickly with gastric acid to form a neutral alginic acid gel or “raft” that floats on top of the stomach contents. This barrier helps prevent gastroesophageal reflux for up to four hours. In severe reflux, the raft may move into the esophagus ahead of stomach contents and provide a soothing protective effect.
This medicine should be taken after meals and at bedtime for the best results.
Adult Dose
Adults: 10–20 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily.Child Dose
Children above 12 years: 10–20 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily.
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
