Rosuvastatin is used for the treatment of high levels of cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. Rosuvastatin may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.
Rolip 10mg Tablet contains Rosuvastatin, which belongs to the group of medicines called lipid-lowering drugs. It is used to reduce elevated high blood cholesterol levels (hyperlipidemia) in patients when diet and lifestyle changes do not result in an adequate response.
- Hyperlipidaemia: A condition characterized by increased levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, leading to the risk of heart attack or stroke if left unmanaged.
- Cardiovascular Risk Management: By reducing blood cholesterol levels, Rolip 10mg Tablet helps manage the risk of heart attack, stroke, or related health problems.
Adults and Children (6 years or above): This can be used, but higher doses (such as 40 mg) are restricted for use in children aged below 18 years. Consult your doctor before taking it.
- Along with taking Rolip 10mg Tablet, follow a cholesterol-lowering diet, lifestyle changes, and regular physical activity as instructed by your doctor.
- Inform your doctor if you have any lung, liver, kidney, or heart problems. Also, mention if you have diabetes, thyroid problems, or a family history of muscle disorders.
- Discuss with your doctor if you are taking any antibiotics (such as fusidic acid) for existing infections.
