- Take it in addition to regular exercise and a low-fat diet to lower levels of fat in the blood.
- Taven EZ 10/10 can be taken with or without food.
- Notify your doctor if you experience muscle symptoms (pain or weakness), particularly if accompanied by fever.
- Notify your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of appetite, a sick feeling, or dark urine.
Taven EZ 10/10 is intended as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for patients at high risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease due to elevated cholesterol levels. Medication should be used alongside dietary restrictions (low in saturated fat and cholesterol) and other non-drug interventions when such measures alone do not sufficiently reduce lipid levels.
Primary Hyperlipidemia: Taven EZ is indicated to reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL-C, triglycerides, Apo B, and non-HDL cholesterol, while increasing HDL-C in individuals with primary (familial or non-familial) or mixed hyperlipidemia.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH): It is also prescribed to lower total cholesterol and LDL-C in HoFH patients, either in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies (e.g., LDL apheresis) or when such treatments are not available.
