Bisoprolol Fumarate 2.5mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 6.25mg is used for treating hypertension (high blood pressure). Both Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide have been proven effective in treating hypertension individually and in combination. Their antihypertensive effects are additive, with Hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg significantly enhancing the antihypertensive effect of Bisoprolol Fumarate. The combination also reduces the risk of hypokalemia compared to Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg alone.
Bisopro 2.5 Plus is a combination of Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. Bisoprolol belongs to the group of medicines called Beta blockers, while Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to the group of medicines called Thiazide diuretics. It is primarily used to treat hypertension, a condition characterized by consistently high blood pressure against the walls of the arteries.
- Take this medicine with or without food.
- Before taking Bisopro 2.5 Plus, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Inform your doctor about any kidney, liver, lung, or heart problems you have, as well as other conditions such as diabetes, thyroid problems, psoriasis, metabolic acidosis, non-melanoma skin cancer, or altered electrolyte levels.
