Osartil 50 Plus reduces elevated blood pressure

  • Composition: Hydrochlorothiazide (Thiazide-like diuretic) and Losartan (Angiotensin II receptor antagonist).
  • Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).
    • Losartan: Blocks actions of Angiotensin II, reducing blood pressure.
    • Hydrochlorothiazide: Increases urine output, leading to decreased blood pressure.

Medical Conditions Associated with Essential Hypertension: Severe damage to blood vessels, organs (heart, kidney), potential for heart attack, heart/kidney failure, stroke, and blindness.

  • Regular monitoring during Osartil 50 Plus treatment.
  • Parameters: Blood pressure, kidney function, electrolyte levels.
  • Not suitable for:
    • Children (aged <18 years).
    • Adult patients with severe kidney or liver impairment.
