Fuclav is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including:
- Sore throat & tonsillitis
- Ear infections (otitis media)
- Sinus infections (sinusitis)
- Chest infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin infections
- Bone and joint infections
- Gonorrhoea
- Early Lyme disease
- Meningitis
- Septicemia (blood infection)
- Take exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily (b.i.d).
- Swallow with water, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset.
- Do not skip doses and complete the full course, even if you feel better.
- Do not use leftover tablets for future infections without medical advice.
- Take it as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one—do not double the dose.
