A-Calm 50 is a muscle relaxant used for relief from muscle-related discomforts such as stiffness, rigidity, tension, and spasms often linked to painful musculoskeletal conditions. It is best taken with food to minimize stomach upset and reduce the likelihood of side effects. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible and take it consistently if required. Common side effects include sleepiness, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Before taking this medication, disclose any medical conditions or other medications you are taking, and consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.

- Painful muscle spasms due to locomotor system disorders: low back pain, sciatica, joint strain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, herniated discs, spondylosis, nerve compression from osteoporosis, soft tissue inflammation (e.g., bursitis, periarthritis).
- Muscle spasticity linked to neurological conditions: stroke-related hemiparesis or hemiplegia, pyramidal tract lesions, multiple sclerosis, spinal or brain inflammation, spinal spasticity, cerebral palsy.
- Decreased blood flow to peripheral areas due to conditions like atherosclerosis, endarteritis, thromboangitis obliterans, Raynaud’s disease, and acrocyanosis.
- Treating spastic paralysis (Little’s disease) and other dystonia-related encephalopathies.
- Post-operative care following limb surgery, after limb fractures requiring long-term immobilization, and rehabilitation in hemiplegic patients.
