Annova Gel is used to relieve pain in the following conditions:
- muscles, joints, and tendons problems such as strains, gout, ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness in the neck and back), or arthritis
- painful, heavy periods and bleeding due to the insertion of an intrauterine device (women)
- migraine headache
- rheumatoid arthritis (children)
Annova Gel is prescribed for the relief of:
- Musculoskeletal pain (muscles, joints, tendons)
- Strains and sprains
- Gout attacks
- Ankylosing spondylitis (back and neck stiffness)
- Migraine headaches
- Arthritis (including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis)
- Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)
- Pain associated with intrauterine device (IUD) insertion
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children over 5 years)
Use with caution in patients with:
- History of asthma, hay fever, or severe allergies (angioedema, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or eyes)
- Liver or kidney impairment
- Blood vessel disorders or clotting abnormalities
- High blood pressure or heart failure
- History of stroke, heart attack, or risk factors for cardiovascular disease
- Localized swelling (edema)
