Orbapin | Amlodipine Besilate 5 mg + Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg contains two active ingredients:
- Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, reducing blood pressure.
- Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents blood vessels from narrowing and reduces the effects of aldosterone, helping lower blood pressure
Orbapin is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It may be prescribed alone or together with other blood pressure-lowering medicines. It can also be used as an initial treatment for patients who require more than one medication to achieve their blood pressure targets.
Take Orbapin exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily. The dose may be adjusted based on your blood pressure response and treatment goals. Do not change the dose without medical advice.

- Use caution when taking NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, naproxen, or selective COX-2 inhibitors) with Orbapin. These medicines may reduce its blood pressure-lowering effect and can affect kidney function. Consult your doctor before combining them.
- Orbapin should not be used with Aliskiren in patients with diabetes. Inform your doctor about all medical conditions before starting treatment.
- Your doctor may monitor your blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels during treatment.
- The safety and effectiveness of Orbapin in pediatric patients have not been established.
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time.
- There is limited information regarding overdose in humans. If an overdose is suspected, seek immediate medical attention or contact emergency medical services.
- Store below 30°C, protected from light, and keep it out of the reach of children.
