- HPR 250mg Tablet contains Mefenamic acid, which is classified as a Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to alleviate symptoms of inflammation, such as redness and swelling. The medication is commonly prescribed to treat pain and discomfort caused by conditions like arthritis, muscular diseases, rheumatoid disorders, headaches, muscle pain, toothaches, post-operative pain, childbirth pain, fever in children, and painful or heavy periods.
- During the treatment with HPR 250mg Tablet, your doctor may monitor your kidney and liver function to ensure they are functioning properly. Blood tests may also be conducted to assess your overall health.
- Patients with a history of stomach or intestinal conditions like stomach ulcers, bleeding in the stomach, severe gastritis, or inflammatory diseases of the intestine such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease should avoid using HPR 250mg Tablet.
- Individuals with severe kidney, liver, or heart problems should consult their doctor before using HPR 250mg Tablet.
- Pregnant women, especially in the last three months of pregnancy, should avoid using HPR 250mg Tablet as it may delay the onset of labor and prolong its duration. Breastfeeding women should also refrain from using it as the medication may pass through breast milk. Consultation with a doctor is advised before taking the medication in these cases.
- HPR 250mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 12 years of age. For elderly patients (aged over 65 years), caution should be exercised, and consultation with a doctor is recommended.
