Indications

Meverine is a prescription medication used to treat and relieve irritable bowel syndrome symptoms such as stomach pain and spasms, abdominal cramps, gas, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. This medication relaxes intestine muscles and relieves spasms.

Pharmacology

Mebeverine is a muscle-promoting antispasmodic agent used to relieve cramps or cramps in the stomach and intestines (intestines). It is particularly suitable for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and similar conditions. Its role is to relax the muscles and help restore normal bowel movements.

Dosage & Administration

Adults, the elderly, and children over 10 years: 

  • 135 mg mebeverine hydrochloride tablets: take one tablet three times per day.
    Mebeverine Hydrochloride 200 mg capsule: take 1 capsule twice a day.
  • It is preferable to wait 20 minutes before eating. The dose can be gradually reduced after several weeks of achieving the desired effect.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as possible. If the next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule. To make up for a missed dose, the dose should not be doubled at the same time.
  • Mebeverine is not recommended for children under the age of ten.
