Nepanil is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory prodrug, which is converted into amfenac, an agent that inhibits prostaglandin production, reducing pain and inflammation.

Nepanil 0.1% Drop
Nepafenac is an eye medication used to alleviate irritation, pain, and redness following cataract surgery. It is also prescribed to help prevent macular edema (swelling at the back of the eye) in patients with diabetes after cataract surgery. Nepafenac works by blocking the action of prostaglandins, which are chemicals responsible for causing pain, redness, and inflammation, thus providing relief for post-surgical eye conditions.While Nepafenac is generally safe, it may cause some side effects. Common side effects include blurred or reduced vision, but these often improve over time. If the side effects persist or worsen, it’s important to consult your doctor.Be sure to inform your doctor if you have conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or blood clotting disorders like hemophilia, as well as dry eye syndrome. Nepafenac should not be used for more than 14 days after cataract surgery unless advised by a healthcare provider.If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before applying Nepafenac and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in, as the medication can alter the lens color. It’s also important not to touch the tip of the dropper or let it come into direct contact with your eye to avoid contamination, which can lead to infections.
