Tadalafil is a medication primarily prescribed to address sexual issues in men, particularly conditions like erectile dysfunction and sexual impotence. Its mechanism of action involves increasing blood flow to the penis, which aids in achieving and sustaining a satisfactory erection during sexual activity. This medication allows for improved circulation, facilitating the filling of the penis’s blood vessels, leading to enhanced erectile function.
Tiagra 10mg Tablet contains Tadalafil, a member of the Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors group. It is used in adults for two main purposes:
Erectile Dysfunction (ED): This condition, also known as impotence, occurs when a man cannot sustain a sufficiently firm erection for normal sexual activity due to reduced blood flow to the penis.
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): PAH is characterized by elevated blood pressure in the blood vessels that supply the lungs, often caused by the narrowing of arteries supplying the heart and lungs. Symptoms may include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, and faintness.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Tiagra 10mg Tablet is also employed to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia, a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. By relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate, it helps reduce BPH symptoms, including difficulty urinating and an urgent need to urinate.
- Tiagra 10mg Tablet is not an aphrodisiac, meaning it doesn’t stimulate sexual thoughts or enhance sexual performance/pleasure in healthy men. It only helps achieve an erection when sexual stimulation occurs and is not intended for use in men without erectile dysfunction.
- Avoid alcohol or grapefruit juice consumption while using this medication, as it can lead to unwanted side effects.
- Prior to taking Tiagra 10mg Tablet, inform your doctor of any liver, kidney, or heart issues you may have. Also, disclose any penis deformities or prostate gland surgeries.
- This medication is not recommended for patients with severely low or high blood pressure or those who have recently had a stroke.
- It is not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless deemed necessary by a physician.
