Treatment of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux)

For people with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, in which the stomach produces too much acid, Ometac 20 helps control acid secretion and prevent complications such as ulcers. It provides long-term management of acid levels, improving quality of life and preventing damage to the stomach and intestines.
Ometac 20 works by specifically blocking an enzyme system known as the “acid pump” in the stomach lining. This enzyme is responsible for the final step in the production of gastric acid. Inhibiting this pump reduces both the volume and acidity of stomach secretions, providing lasting acid suppression and promoting healing of acid-related conditions such as ulcers and reflux disease.
- Take Ometac 20 before a meal, preferably in the morning, 30–60 minutes before breakfast, to get the best effect.
- Take Ometac 20 at the same time every day to help maintain consistent acid control.
- Avoid trigger foods, such as spicy, fatty, or acidic foods, and limit caffeine and alcohol intake.
- Avoid lying down right after eating. Wait at least 2–3 hours after meals before lying down to prevent acid reflux.
- Combine the treatment with lifestyle changes, such as healthy weight and quitting smoking.
