Alia 5mg Tablet

Alia contains allylestrenol, a synthetic progestin used to help maintain pregnancy. It is commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of recurrent miscarriage and to help prevent preterm (premature) labour. It supports pregnancy by improving the implantation and development of the embryo and reducing uterine contractions.

Alia may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day for consistent results. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor and swallow the tablet whole with water. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Common side effects include swelling (edema), abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, mood changes, muscle pain, and depression. These effects are generally mild, but consult your doctor if they become severe or persistent. If the medicine causes dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.

Before starting Alia, tell your doctor if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding, incomplete abortion, liver disease, kidney disease, heart problems, or a history of blood clots. Also inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, as some drugs may reduce the effectiveness of Alia or increase the risk of side effects.
