Adaclin Gel is used in the treatment of Acne.
Clindamycin+Nicotinamide is a combination medication used to treat inflamed acne. It contains two active ingredients: Clindamycin, an antibiotic that combats acne-causing bacteria, and Nicotinamide, a form of vitamin B that reduces inflammation. This combination minimizes the formation of excess sebum (natural skin oil) and decreases swelling caused by acne. Acne occurs when skin oil glands become clogged, leading to pimples and cysts.
Application of Clindamycin+Nicotinamide should follow your doctor’s instructions. It is for external use only. Apply enough to cover the affected area, and be sure to wash your hands before and after use. If it accidentally contacts your eyes, nose, mouth, or other sensitive areas, rinse immediately. Possible side effects include irritation, dryness, peeling, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Most side effects tend to resolve over time and do not usually require medical attention. However, if side effects persist, consult your doctor.
It is crucial not to discontinue using this medication without consulting your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to this medicine. Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the affected area to prevent worsening of acne. Minimize sun exposure and use sunscreen before going outdoors. Refrain from using cosmetic products or undergoing cosmetic procedures in the affected area without your doctor’s guidance.
