Alatrol Syrup is effective for easing the signs and symptoms of both seasonal and chronic allergic rhinitis. Asthma brought on by allergens and simple skin symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria can both be effectively treated with Alatrol Syrup.
Alatrol Syrup contains Cetirizine, which is classified as an antihistamine. It is primarily used to alleviate the symptoms associated with hay fever (seasonal rhinitis), including sneezing, nasal congestion, runny or blocked nose, and itchy or watery eyes. This medication is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 years. It is also effective in relieving symptoms of other allergies such as non-seasonal rhinitis, skin allergies (rash, itching, hives), and pet or house mite allergies in adults and children over the age of 6 years.
Alatrol Syrup is not recommended for individuals with severe kidney failure. If you are scheduled to undergo allergy tests, it is important to inform your doctor as Alatrol Syrup may affect the test results. Use caution when taking this medication if you have epilepsy, a higher risk of convulsions, or difficulties with urination due to spinal, bladder, or prostate problems. It is advised to avoid alcohol consumption while using Alatrol Syrup to prevent any unexpected effects.
Pregnant women should use Alatrol Syrup with caution only if specifically advised by their doctor. It is not recommended for use by breastfeeding women as it can pass through breast milk. The syrup is not intended for children below 2 years of age, and caution should be exercised when administering it to elderly patients.
Common side effects of Alatrol Syrup may include tiredness, headache, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, and sleepiness. If any of these side effects worsen or do not improve, consult your doctor for further guidance.
