Description

Ancipro 500mg is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organs, skin and soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia).

Ancipro 500mg Tablet contains ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used in adults to treat a range of bacterial infections. It’s effective against infections in the:

  • Respiratory tract
  • Ear and sinus
  • Urinary tract
  • Genital tract
  • Gastrointestinal tract
  • Skin and soft tissue
  • Bone and joint
  • Anthrax inhalation exposure

It’s also used to manage fever associated with neutropenia-related infections.

Extended use of Ancipro 500mg Tablet can lead to overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. When taken initially, it may produce psychiatric reactions. Caution is advised when used in the elderly due to the potential for prolonged QT intervals.

Before taking Ancipro 500mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, neurological conditions, or heart diseases. This includes conditions like aortic tears, bulges in blood vessels, leaking heart valves, congenital heart disease, or myasthenia gravis.
