Arimidex 1 Tablet 14pcs

Arimidex 1 Tablet is used to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Breast cancer growth is often stimulated by estrogen, and this medication helps prevent the cancer from spreading.

Arimidex contains anastrozole, which blocks the aromatase enzyme responsible for producing estrogen in postmenopausal women. By lowering estrogen levels, Arimidex slows or stops the growth of estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells.

• Take one tablet (1 mg) daily, as prescribed by your doctor.
• Continue for the duration recommended by your doctor, even if symptoms improve. Do not stop treatment abruptly.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.

You may experience the following side effects:

• Very common (>10%): Hot flashes, headache, bone, joint, or muscle pain (musculoskeletal pain), and weakness.
• Common (1-10%): Nausea, rash, osteoporosis (weak bones), and dizziness.
• If side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding (Pregnancy Category X).

Patients with:

• Severe liver or kidney disease.
• Known allergies to anastrozole or its components.
• Severe osteoporosis or history of bone fractures.

• Arimidex may weaken bones or lead to osteoporosis. Regular bone density checks are advised, and supplements like calcium and vitamin D may be recommended.
• It may increase cholesterol levels; periodic monitoring is necessary.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel drowsy or dizzy.
• Avoid alcohol consumption to reduce the risk of increased dizziness or side effects.

Avoid tamoxifen or estrogen-containing medications, as they reduce the effectiveness of Arimidex. Inform your doctor about all medications, including supplements, to prevent interactions.
