Arjunacard syrup is an excellent cardiotonic Ayurvedic medicine that effectively promotes cardiac function by regulating blood pressure and cholesterol. The bark of the Arjuna tree is rich in Coenzyme Q-10, which is highly prescribed in cardiology to prevent heart problems.
- Terminalia arjuna: Contains tannins, beta-sitosterol, arjunolic acid, flavonoids, triterpenoids, and saponins. It is cardiotonic and diuretic, used in cardiac palpitation, cardiopathy, physical debility, high blood pressure, asthma, bronchitis, and hyperhidrosis.
- Vitis vinifera: Contains tannins (proanthocyanidins), flavonoids, tartaric acid, malic acid, citric acid, and oxalic acid, showing positive effects against peripheral venous insufficiency. It has antioxidant, ischemia-preventive, and anti-atherosclerotic effects.
- Madhuca indica: Contains glycoside, saponin, sapogenin, beta-sitosterol, and sterol glycoside. It is used in constipation, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis.
- Woodfordia fruticosa: Contains ellagic acid, beta sitosterol, and octacosanol. It has cooling, stimulant, and astringent effects and is used in disorders of the mucous membrane.
