Arthrofen is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis in patients at high risk of developing NSAID-induced gastric and duodenal ulcers and their complications.

Diclofenac and misoprostol (Arthrotec) is a combination medication used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in individuals at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers. 

  • Osteoarthritis: Usually one tablet (diclofenac 50 mg-misoprostol 200 mcg) orally three times a day. Maximum doses: diclofenac 150 mg/day, misoprostol 800 mcg/day.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis: Usually one tablet (diclofenac 50 mg-misoprostol 200 mcg) orally three to four times a day. Maximum doses: diclofenac 225 mg/day, misoprostol 800 mcg/day.
