Mupirocin is used to treat impetigo (skin infections) caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes. It’s also used to treat folliculitis and furunculosis.
- Bactrocin 2% Ointment 10gm is a new topical antibiotic intended to treat ‘impetigo’ skin infections caused by bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. A bacterial infection occurs when bacteria multiply in the body and cause illness. It may target any region of the body and multiply swiftly.
- Bactrocin 2% acts by inhibiting the creation of proteins that are required for bacterial surveillance. It is also effective against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli and Haemophilus influenza. It is ineffective against fungal or viral infections and should not be used on burned skin or open wounds.
- Bactrocin 2% should be used only as directed by your doctor. Â It is not suggested for youngsters under the age of two months.
