Benozol is indicated for reducing elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Benozol contains brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces aqueous humor production in the eye by slowing the formation of bicarbonate ions, sodium, and fluid transport in the ciliary body. This results in decreased intraocular pressure.
