- Bet-CL Ointment is a medication mixture that is mainly used to treat fungal and bacterial skin diseases. It treats eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales), ringworm, athlete’s foot (fungal infection between the toes), jock itch (fungal infection in the skin of the genitals, inner thighs, and buttocks), insect bites, and stings. Bacterial illness happens when harmful bacteria multiply in the body and create an infection. A fungal illness occurs when a fungus invades and affects cutaneous tissue.
- Bet-CL Ointment contains two medications: Clotrimazole (an antibiotic) and Betamethasone. (steroid). Clotrimazole is an antifungal drug that inhibits fungus development by damaging and leaking the fungal cell membrane. Betamethasone, on the other hand, is a corticosteroid that inhibits the production of prostaglandins (chemical mediators) that cause the afflicted region to become hot, swollen, and itchy.
A combination drug is Bet-CL Ointment. It is used to treat a variety of skin infections, most commonly the fungal variety. It reduces inflammation’s accompanying signs of redness, swelling, and itching. It also combats the microorganisms that cause infections.
