Brigatinib is an anaplastic lymphoma kinase inhibitor used to treat anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
Bigatab 90mg Tablet is used to treat a specific type of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has metastasized to other parts of the body. It belongs to a class of medications called kinase inhibitors, working by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply, thus slowing or halting the spread of cancer cells.
- Brigatinib may interfere with hormonal contraceptives. Use non-hormonal birth control methods during treatment.
- Females should use non-hormonal contraception during treatment and for 4 months after the final dose.
- Males and their partners should use birth control during treatment and for 3 months after the final dose.
Before taking Brigatinib, inform your healthcare provider about:
- Allergies to brigatinib or its ingredients.
- Other medications, including prescription, non-prescription, vitamins, supplements, and herbal products.
- Conditions such as high blood pressure, slow heartbeat, diabetes, kidney or liver disease.
- Pregnancy plans for pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Report any severe or unusual symptoms to your doctor promptly. Serious side effects should be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
