Calbotol is indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency in individuals with insufficient dietary calcium intake. It is beneficial in conditions associated with low blood calcium, such as:
- Osteoporosis
- Osteomalacia & Rickets
- Hypoparathyroidism
- Latent tetany
- Calcium supplementation in postmenopausal women
Adults: 1 to 4 tablets daily, with or without meals, as per clinical need or physician’s guidance.
Calcium Citrate:
- A crucial mineral supporting nerve, muscle, and bone function.
- Highly bioavailable even on an empty stomach.
- Does not depend heavily on stomach acid and is less likely to cause constipation.
Calcitriol:
- The active hormonal form of Vitamin D3, vital for calcium and phosphate absorption.
- Compensates for impaired endogenous vitamin D production in chronic renal failure, improving mineral metabolism and bone health.
- Acts via Vitamin D receptors (VDRs) to regulate gene expression that governs calcium balance and bone remodeling.
