Calcitrol 0.25mcg Licap is used to treat & prevent Vitamin D deficiency. It contains vitamin D3, which is also known as cholecalciferol or cholecalciferol. Calcitrol 0.25mcg Licap is also used as supportive therapy for conditions such as osteoporosis. The bones become fragile due to low calcium levels in osteoporosis. Vitamin D is primarily responsible for maintaining normal levels of phosphorus and serum calcium in the blood by improving the small intestine’s ability to absorb these minerals from the diet. It also speeds up the processes and increases calcium absorption from the kidneys. Take Calcitrol 0.25mcg Licap exactly as directed by your doctor. Consume the contents of the Calcitrol 0.25mcg Licap in milk or as directed by your doctor. If you have any allergic reactions after using it, consult your doctor. It should not be used in patients who have hypercalcemia, malabsorption syndrome, abnormal sensitivity to the toxic effects of vitamin D, or hypervitaminosis D.
