Calcixen 500mg+200IU is a calcium and vitamin D3 combination tablet manufactured by Everest Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Each tablet contains Calcium Carbonate USP 1250mg from coral source, equivalent to 500mg elemental calcium, and Vitamin D3 200 IU.
What Calcixen is used for
Calcixen is commonly used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency. It may also be recommended by a physician for osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, hypoparathyroidism, disorders of osteogenesis, and periods of increased calcium requirement such as pregnancy, lactation, childhood growth, and older age.
