Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.

It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), inhibiting the final step of peptidoglycan synthesis in bacterial cell walls → weakens bacterial cell wall → causes lysis and cell death.

• Effective against a broad range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
• Take at the same time daily for best results.
• Complete the full course of therapy, even if you feel better.
• Take with food if you experience stomach upset.
