Cefotil Plus 500 Tablet is an antibiotic consisting of (Cefuroxime Axetil 500mg + Clavulanic Acid 125mg). It is used to treat Bacterial Infections affecting the lungs, nose, throat, ears, skin, and urinary tract.
- Cefotil Plus 500mg Tablet is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, pyelonephritis, uncomplicated gonorrhea, and Lyme disease in adults and children above 12 years of age.
- Cefotil Plus 500mg Tablet belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics. It works by binding to the outer layer of bacteria, inhibiting the enzyme responsible for peptidoglycan synthesis. This disrupts the bacterial cell wall formation, leading to bacterial cell death.
- Take Cefotil Plus 500mg Tablet only as prescribed by your doctor. It is available in various forms, such as oral tablets, dispersible tablets, and oral suspension. Complete the full course of treatment as directed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better before finishing the course.
