Indications of Cinaryl Plus

Circulatory problems in the brain:

Prophylaxis and maintenance therapy for symptoms of cerebral vascular spasms and arteriosclerosis such as dizziness, ear buzzing (tinnitus), vascular headache, unsociability and irritability, fatigue, sleep rhythm disorders such as premature awakening, involutional depressions, memory and concentration loss, incontinence, and other aging disorders.

Cerebral and cranial trauma sequelae

Disorders of postapoplectic apoptosis

Migraine.

Symptoms of vascular spasms and arteriosclerosis (obliterating arteritis, thromboangitis obliterans, Raynaud’s disease, diabetes, acrocyanosis pernio, etc.) such as intermittent claudication, trophic disturbances, pregangrene, trophic and varicose ulcers, paraesthesia, nocturnal cramps, cold extremities are treated with prophylaxis

Balance problems include:

Symptoms of labyrinthine arteriosclerosis, vestibular irritability, and Meniere’s syndrome, including vertigo, dizziness, giddiness, syncopal episodes, tinnitus, nystagmus, nausea, and vomiting, are treated with prophylaxis and maintenance therapy.

Motion sickness prevention.

Pharmacology

Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate are the two active components in this product. The two drugs are from two distinct drug classes. Cinnarizine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium antagonists. Dimenhydrinate belongs to the antihistamine class of drugs. Both drugs operate by decreasing vertigo (a sense of spinning or dizzy) and nausea symptoms (feeling sick). Individual chemicals are less effective than the whole product.

Dosage & Administration of Cinaryl Plus

Adults: 1 tablet three times daily, to be taken after meals. Children and
adolescents under the age of 18 years: Not recommended
Elderly: Dosage as for adults.

Interaction of Cinaryl Plus

Concurrent use of alcohol, CNS depressants, or tricyclic antidepressants may increase the sedative effects of these medications, as well as Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. As a result, it is best to avoid these medications when using Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate.

Contraindications

Patients with significant hepatic impairment should avoid using Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Patients with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients should avoid using Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Patients with angle-closure glaucoma, seizures, suspicion of increased intracranial pressure, alcohol misuse, or urine retention owing to urethroprostatic diseases should not take Cinnarizine or Dimenhydrinate.

Side Effects of Cinaryl Plus

Drowsiness, dry mouth, headaches, and stomach pain are all possible side effects. Impaired eyesight, allergic responses, light sensitivity, and trouble peeing are all rare adverse effects. Weight gain, constipation, chest tightness, jaundice, worsening of angle-closure glaucoma, uncontrolled movements, unusual enthusiasm and restlessness, severe skin responses are all possible side effects.

Pregnancy & Lactation

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, dimenhydrinate and cinnarizine should be avoided.

Precautions & Warnings

Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate do not dramatically lower blood pressure; nonetheless, they should be taken with caution in hypotensive individuals. To avoid stomach discomfort, use Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate after meals. Patients with Parkinson’s disease should be given Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate with caution.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry location (below 30°C). Keep out of the reach of youngsters and away from light.
