Conasyd 1% Dermal Cream/Tioconazole 1% Cream is an antifungal agent used for the treatment of fungal infections of the vagina caused by Candida species.
Tioconazole is utilized for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (moniliasis). Its efficacy has been observed primarily against candidal vulvovaginitis. Confirmation of the diagnosis is recommended through KOH smears and/or cultures to exclude other microorganisms causing vulvovaginitis. Women on oral contraceptives have shown a similar cure rate to those not taking such agents when treated with Tioconazole.
