Coversyl 8 is prescribed for the effective management of:
- High blood pressure (Hypertension) – to reduce elevated blood pressure and associated symptoms such as morning headaches, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, and chest discomfort.
- Heart failure – to improve cardiac efficiency and relieve symptoms like breathlessness and rapid heartbeat.
- Prevention of major cardiovascular events, particularly in patients with stable coronary artery disease, including those with a prior heart attack or coronary revascularization surgery.
Not recommended in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis.
Use with caution in patients with:
- Aortic stenosis
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- Chronic kidney or liver disease
- Diabetes mellitus
- Undergoing dialysis
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Not advised unless clearly necessary; consult a healthcare professional.
Pediatric Use: Not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
Routine checks of kidney function, serum electrolytes (especially potassium), and blood pressure are essential during treatment.
