Defrol 50000 IU Capsule contains Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) and is used to prevent and treat Vitamin D deficiency. It is also prescribed for conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, hypoparathyroidism, pseudohypoparathyroidism, and familial hypophosphatemia.
Take Defrol exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food. The dosage depends on your age, medical condition, and Vitamin D requirements.
Defrol should not be used by patients who have:
- Hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels)
- Vitamin D toxicity
- Known allergy to Vitamin D3 or any component of the formulation
